This all began as a case study and may well end as one, but before I could get started on designing a new site, I desperately needed to create a new logo. For having such good beer and an amazing culture surrounding it I’m surprised by their chosen branding. That said, I wanted to keep the truck as an icon and logo with the tailgate open (obviously). I liked the idea of having a simple line drawing, allowing the script text to integrate nicely into the icon and creating balance.
I chose this because it’s their current homepage photo and the photography is excellent, the logo on the pint glass on the other hand, looks dated.
I chose a dual cab truck because I like the idea that Tailgate, although it’s a brewery, their establishments are fun for the whole family!
